Logan is currently an Astronomy & Astrophysics undergraduate at the Florida Institute of Technology, pursuing a second major in Planetary Science and a minor in Sustainability. His work centers on applying deep learning and quantitative data analysis to astronomical problems, building on coursework in observational astronomy, instrumentation, and machine learning, extended by a study-abroad program at the University of Oxford in scientific and technical communication. Alongside his studies, he serves as Chief Technology Officer of AspireCURES, LLC and Vice President of Database Management at the Sisters Hope Foundation, where he builds and maintains the web platforms and patient databases that connect families affected by rare, neurological diseases with clinical trials and research.

Logan’s personal journey with this rare disease began when his grandmother, great-aunt, great-uncle and his only two biological aunts passed away from ALSP. Logan has witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by individuals living with, treating, and coping with rare diseases like ALSP. It is this firsthand experience that drives his passion to collaborate with Sisters’ Hope Foundation, to promote patient advocacy and raise awareness for this rapidly progressive, devastating, rare disease. Logan has also experienced the devastating news of finding out his father is suffering from a rare, neurodegenerative disease, Posterior Cortical Atrophy, as well as, Lewy Body Dementia. As Logan’s dad loses more abilities, Logan finds the time to provide support and assistance to his dad.
